Data si locul nasterii: Nascut la 1 august 1941, in comuna Movilita, judetul Ilfov.

Educatia: Absolvent al Facultatii de Matematica din Bucuresti in anul 1962
Teza de doctorat: Doctor in matematici din 1974 cu teza ''Variante infinit-dimensionale ale Teoriei lui Lie pentru algebre Lie rezolubile''.
Pozitii academice: Asistent din 1962, lector din 1974, conferentiar din 1991.
Cursuri predate: Teoria masurii (anul II Sectia cercetare), Teoria operatorilor (curs optional anul IV), Teoreme de dualitate si Teorie spectrala necomutativa (curs in cadrul programului de studii aprofundate).
Domenii de interes stiintific: Reprezentari si teorie spectrala necomutativa, Analiza functiilor cu valori masuri si solutii discontinue pentru legi de conservare.

Intre 1970-1985 a fost recenzent la ''Zentralblatt für Mathematik''. Membru in comitetul de redactie al revistei ''Bulletin des Sciences Mathématiques de la Societé Roumaine des Science Mathematique''.

Activitate stiintifica internationala: 1973 - Cursant la scoala de vara CIME, Varena, Italia; 1992 - Participant la: Congresul European de Matematica de la Paris cu comunicare (1995); Conferinta de Teoria Operatorilor (1995) Luminy-Marseille cu comunicare; - Profesor invitat la Institutul Castellnovo Univ. Sapienza Roma in cadrul colaborarii dintre Univ. Sapienza din Roma si Univ. din Bucuresti (1995) - Participant la Conferinta Internationala de Teoria Operatorilor de la Timisoara cu comunicare (1996, 1998, 2000). A fost profesor invitat la Universitatea ''Sophie Antipolis'' Nice, Laboratoire Jean-Dieudonnée (1997) si la Universitatea Paris VI (1998).
A mai prezentat comunicari la urmatoarele conferinte: "Memoire Conference for B. Sz.-Nagy", Szeged (1999); "Journées Lilloise de Theorie des Opérateurs", Université des sciences et Tehnologies de Lille (2000) si "Conferinta de Analiza Matematica si Aplicatii", Editia IV, Timisoara (2000).
